DMI organized its fourth foundation day symposium on ‘Pathways to Transformative Development’ at Hotel Panache in Patna during February 13-14, 2018. This symposium was organised around four panel discussions led by leading academics and professionals on the following themes:

In addition, there was a special session for sharing of successful, innovative experiments in Transformative Development by the promoters of the experiments, from different parts of India. 

The key note address in the inaugural session was delivered by Prof. Sudarshan Iyengar, former vice chancellor of Gujarat Vidyapeeth. A total of 150 invitees participated in the Symposium including eminent academics, development practitioners, farmers, Jeevika didi’s and representatives of NGOs. The Chairman (Board of Governors), faculty, staff and PDM students of DMI also participated in the event.
