As a Water Quality Consultant, you should demonstrate competence and experience in applying detailed water quality chemistry in all our projects with specific reference to small groundwater-based piped water schemes. You will be part of the core team, which will strengthen the Water Sanitation and Hygiene Observatory (WASH-O) internal capacity and help in effectively managing various projects supported by the external funders.
Experience
• Must have a degree in a relevant discipline and preferably relevant postgraduate qualification (for example, focusing on environmental chemistry, water quality, geochemistry, chemistry, Engineering etc.)
• A minimum of five years of relevant experience
• Experience in leading water quality projects
• Detailed knowledge of key regulatory drivers for water quality in India.
• Experience in preparation and writing successful EOI’s/Bids/Proposals in areas of water quality.
• Experience in designing water quality monitoring and training programs
• Experience in analyzing large datasets of ground and surface water quality data and presenting complex technical information visually and orally to a broad audience.
• Understanding of the remediation techniques for ground and surface water contamination
• Strong writing, communication, and presentation skill
Roles and responsibilities
You will join an existing, expanding team of WASH-O and are expected to perform the following duties:
• Work on a wide range of projects using your technical skills to assist the team in delivering multi-disciplinary investigations.
• Explore funding opportunities and writing proposals for the same
• Lead projects and studies through the project life cycle of problem definition, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and drawing succinct conclusions and recommendations
• Design, coordinate and mobilize resources to conduct training programs related to water quality and other related areas
• Any other work as required for the growth and expansion of WASH-O.
Contract: The contract would be for 11 months which would be renewed based on the available funding and performance.
Remuneration: As per the qualification and experience.
