Under the 'Chief Minister Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Entrepreneurship Development' scheme, educated unemployed youths of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes community are trained in basic skills of entrepreneurship. In the said scheme, an entrepreneur is given an interest-free loan of 5 lakhs and Rs. 5 lakhs from the Government as a subsidy. DMI has to conduct a total of eight CEPs under this scheme and trained around 400 entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurs have been trained in various management areas such as finance, marketing, supply chain, human resource management and project planning and management. During the training, the focus was also on the development of a detailed project report (DPR) by the participants. |
